Advanced Badminton Techniques : How to Hit a Smash Shot in Badminton

I’m going to describe the basics of this match
in the game of badminton. This match is a variant of the overhead forehand shot. This
match is a tight fast shot intended to finish the point or put a maximum of pressure on
your opponent. It is rarely done from the back of the court. It is a two third up front
shot destined to really finish the point as much as possible. The basic of the movement
is the same starting point as every forehand shot with starting from the racket leg, moving
up and striking the shuttle as the racket passes over the shuttle. In the case of this
match you actually want to do a down trajectory, fast down trajectory to the shuttle so you
are in the case of most overhand shots whether it is a clear or a drop the shot is made almost
directly over the shoulder. In the case of the smash you want to take the shuttle a little
bit earlier in order to apply a down force on the shuttle as the racket comes down.

  4. i reckon he should stop, he might get a heart attack. and i dont agree with with your first statement, lol he'll have a heart attack while playing me, lol, that was funny.

  5. The way he is holding the racquet at the ready position is wrong. The racquet should be facing to the net, not to his right. Get a real instructor and don't follow his video. It is better to start it right.

  6. expert village is normally good from the other sports i have watched and other various things but this sucks horse bollocks his smash and coaching techniques are poor

  7. First of all no offence to expert village, good intentions noted. But this video actually does more harm than good.

A lot of beginners will think that they are benefiting from this video as it allows them to do a shot similar to a light smash. But reality is that they will take on the bad habits presented in this video and hinder their chance of learning the actual skill.

I would like to see this video replaced by one that's done by an actual coach with some competitive badminton experience.

  8. @reygasparplusme1 it's harder than that, this is a really basic explanation, any decent badminton player would say that. But beginners can't learn from this… a decent explanation should integrate footstep, weight change tips, grip, etc. So don't learn from this. lol

BATCH HAND, FOTRE HAND, RACTKET, whole bunch of new word this man could crate. I got to give it to this man, he is not shy at all.
