Lanka and England women seal ODI series against Sri Lanka women. Rahmat Shah and Ishanullah Janat both scored half-centuries as Afghanistan surged to their maiden Test victory by beating Ireland by seven wickets in Dehradun. Shah scored 76, and Janat an unbeaten 65 as Afghanistan notched up the 147-run target on the fourth morning within a session. It was their first ever Test victory, in just their second Test. After sweeping Sri Lanka 5-0 in the one-day internationals, South Africa will hope to
put the finishing touches to their ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2019 preparations in the
upcoming T20I series , starting in Cape Town later today. With impressive performances in the ODIs, Aiden Markram and Anrich Nortje have earned their maiden call-ups to the T20I squad. As for the visitors they will aim to start on the right note having won only six of their last 20 T20I matches. Amy Jones scored a quickfire half-century and Alex Hartley picked up three wickets as England women eased to another comfortable victory in the second ODI against Sri Lanka. Chasing 188, Jones scored 54 while Lauren Winfield and Tammy Beaumont chipped in with 40s as England women sealed an unassailable 2-0 series lead. The two sides will meet for the third and final ODI on March 21st.
