Ashley Hoffman, UNC field hockey player and Honda Sport Award winner, shares her inspiration

♪♪ Hi my name is Ashley Hoffman, I play field hockey and I carry my mom’s championship
field hockey ball. This ball signed by
mom’s entire 1984 Olympic Bronze Medal Field
Hockey Team. When I look at this, I feel like I have
the ability to dream as big
as I want too. My junior year in high school I
got compartment syndrome. So I’d be out on the field
running and I couldn’t pick up my feet. It was extremely
challenging, and pushed me mentally, physically. So when I’m going through any
type of hard situation I can look at this and be
reminded of my goals. I can push through whatever
obstacles come my way. And that it’s possible because
she did it. I think I can do it to.
