Baseball Gets Crucial ODAC Road Sweep at Ferrum

Bridgewater baseball got a crucial ODAC sweep
on the road at Ferrum on Saturday. After Garrison Wright made it 2-to-nothing
in game one, Luke Paczewski added a pair of scoring hits to open up a 5-1 lead in an eventual
6-3 victory. Brett Jones’ RBI double provided the sixth
and final run for Bridgewater in the opener. Kevin Nevedo’s RBI double tied the nightcap
at 1-1. Jarrett Biesecker later ripped a two-RBI double
to tie it again at 5-5 in a back and forth contest. Jacob Talley’s RBI single gave the Eagles
the lead, but Ferrum would tie it up at 7 heading into the final innings. Jones was at the plate for four scoring plays
in Game 2, and his RBI groundout would score Biesecker for the winning run in the 8th inning. With the sweep, Bridgewater improves to 2-and-2
in ODAC play.
