Baseball – Long Beach State Preview

On Tuesday night Ole Miss kicked
off a nine-game home stand with a 12 to six win
over UT Martin. The Rebs will hope
to keep that momentum building this weekend
with Long Beach State in town.
There may not be a hotter bat in the country
than junior Thomas Dillard. The Oxford native took home
multiple conference and national honors
after his play over the past week.
Dillard jacked another home run Tuesday in the win
over the Sky Hawks. On the mound, the MVP
has been senior Connor Green. Green has picked up the first
two wins of his career, and he did it over
a three-day span. Green has made
three appearances this season and has yet to allow a run. Up next, Ole Miss
takes on a familiar foe. Long Beach
State comes into town winless, but don’t sleep
on the dirt bags. These two squads met up
a season ago in California with the good guys
taking the series with a win on Energy Sunday. The action will be right here at
Swayze Field all weekend long. If you can’t make it out
to the ballpark, you can keep up with updates
on Twitter @olemissbsb. You can watch the game
on SEC Network Plus via the ESPN app. And as always, you can follow
everything Ole Miss online at olemisssports.com
and with the Ole Miss app.
