Blanchard’s (Northern) Cricket Frog (Acris crepitans)


The northern cricket frog varies from
reddish tan to beige to green sometimes with a rust or green colored
triangular mark between and behind it eyes. It may also have a bright rust or green mid-dorsal stripe and its skin is
somewhat textured, having sporadic bumps on it that are
often darker than the background color. Cricket frogs are found along the edges of ponds and rivers and have a distinct preference for
