BSU Men’s Hockey Looks to Continue Strong Play

SEASON.>>>THE BEMIDJI STATE MEN’S HOCKEY TEAM HAS PLENTY TO BE THANKFUL ABOUT. THEY’RE WINNERS OF FIVE OF THEIR LAST SIX GAMES. THEY’RE SPENDING THANKSGIVING ON THE LOVELY UPPER PENINSULA. WHAT COULD BE BETTER THAN THAT? AND THE OFFENSE EXPLODED ONCE AGAIN LAST WEEK, SCORING 12 GOALS IN THEIR SWEEP AGAINST ALABAMA HUNTSVILLE.>>REALLY JUST PLAYED THE GAME THE RIGHT WAY AND PRODUCED A LOT OF SECOND CHANCES. WE WERE ABLE TO CAPITALIZE ON THOSE CHANCES AND WE JUST PLAYED REALLY WELL. IT WAS A GOOD WEEKEND FOR THE TEAM.>>A.J. Feldman: THE ONE NEGATIVE LAST WEEK, ROSS ARMOUR LEFT SATURDAY’S GAME WITH AN APPARENT LEG INJURY. HEAD COACH TOM SERRATORE SAYS HE’LL BE OUT A WHILE. THEY ARE EXPECTED TO GET CHARLIE COMBS BACK FROM AN INJURY THIS WEEK. LAST WEEKEND WAS ALSO A BIG MOMENT FOR DEFENSEMAN TOMMY MUCK WHO, AFTER FOUR YEARS, FINALLY GOT HIS FIRST CAREER GOAL.>>IT WAS PRETTY SPECIAL. WAITING FOUR YEARS FOR IT. TO FINALLY HAVE IT GO IN, IT WAS A GREAT FEELING, IT WAS AWESOME FOR THE GOAL TO TIE IT UP.>>TOMMY MUCK IS MAYBE ONE OF THE MOST VALUABLE PLAYERS I’VE EVER COACHED. THE SITUATIONS WE PUT HIM IN, YOU KNOW, THE HEAVY LIFTING HE’S HAD TO DO OVER THE FOUR YEARS WE GOT SO MUCH OUT OF HIM. WHEN YOU GOT SO MUCH OUT OF HIM, THE PRODUCTIVITY IS OFF THE CHARTS.>>>THE LAKERS SNAPPED A FIVE-GAME LOSING STREAK LAST WEEKEND AS THEY BEAT BOWLING
