BSU Men’s Hockey Travels to Alaska for a Duo of Games


STATE.>>AFTER TWO NON CONFERENCE SERIES FOR THE BSU MENS HOCKEY TEAM, IT’S TIME FOR WCHA PLAY. THEY HEAD ON THE ROAD TO FAIRBANKS TO TAKE ON AN ALASKA TEAM OFF TO A HOT START, ALREADY SWEEPING MICHIGAN TECH, BEATING PENN STATE AND GOING TOE-TO-TOE WITH DENVER >>YOU KNOW, THEY ARE A TEAM THAT SKATES EXTREMELY WELL. THEY HAVE A LOT OF EXPERIENCE, AND THEY ARE A TEAM THAT THEY ARE GOING TO COMPETE FOR HOME ICE THIS YEAR IN THE WCHA. WE KNOW HOW GOOD THEY ARE. WE HAD A HARD TIME WITH THEM LAST YEAR.>>IT’S THE FIRST WCHA GAME FOR THE BEAVERS AND ALSO THE FIRST GAME FOR THE BEAVERS AGAINST ONE OF THE THREE SCHOOLS LEFT OUT OF THE GROUP OF SEVEN SCHOOLS THAT ARE PLANNING TO LEAVE THE CONFERENCE IN JUST UNDER TWO YEARS. IT’S A LONG ROAD FOR THE TEAM, ONE THAT THEY’RE SEEMINGLY TRYING TO DO LESS OFTEN BY BREAKING OFF WITH THE OTHER SIX MIDWESTERN TEAMS.>>IT’S A LONG DAY. IT’S A LONG DAY.
