Hey guys, it’s Ro! Today we are gonna be making some DIY Football
Treats. Superbowl is just around the corner and being a Seattle native I am
so excited for the Seahawks! In college I was actually a football cheerleader,
I really enjoy watching the game. So alright, let’s get started! The 1st thing that we’re gonna be making
are these Football Pizza Pockets. The things you will need, will be: Olives,
some marinara sauce for dipping, 1/4 cup of roasted red peppers, corn meal,
1/2 a cup of diced pepperoni, we’re gonna use 3 cheeses, you can use any
of your favorites, but I’m using 1/2 a cup of fontina, 1/2 a cup of mozzarella,
and 1/2 a cup of provolone. You’ll also need some flour for working
with our pizza dough and pizza dough, and lastly a football shaped cookie cutter,
I’ll put a link to the one I have down below. The 1st thing thing that we’re gonna do is get
out a cutting board and a sharp cutting knife, and we’re gonna cut up some olives. I love
olives! They are so good! You’re gonna take about 6 olives, dice them
up nice and small and place them into your bowl. Next we’re gonna use our roasted
red peppers, take a couple pieces out of the jar to dice up. We’re gonna use about
1/4 cup for this recipe. Last thing that we’re gonna be cutting up
is some pepperoni. Put a few pepperoni on a cutting board, dice
‘em up, and then we’re gonna put a 1/2 cup into the bowl. It’s time for the
cheese, I’ve got 3 cheeses, doesn’t matter what order you add them in as long as they
get in there. I’ve got provolone, fontina, and last but not least, my favorite,
mozzarella. Then stir it all together, mix it well, and
we’re gonna set it off to the side and start working with our dough. Now it’s time to roll out your pizza dough,
I’m using a pre-made dough. So, it’s really easy, you just put a little
flour down and make it rain, make it rain! The we’re gonna take our rolling pin and
roll it flat, you’ll want to roll it about 1/4 of an inch thick. Once your dough is rolled out we’re gonna
take our football cookie cutter and we’re gonna cut out a bunch of little footballs
into the dough. Remember you need 2 pieces for each pizza
pocket so cut an even number. Now remove the excess dough, rwaaagggghhhh! Now that we’ve got these cut out we’re
gonna sprinkle a little bit of cornmeal onto the bottom of our baking sheet. This will
give our pizza pockets a nice crunchy texture. Place the bottom half of the pizza
pocket onto the baking sheet. And now we’re gonna stuff ‘em. Scoop about
1 teaspoon of our filling onto the center of our footballs. Just be careful not to overstuff
so they don’t burst in the oven. Then I’m gonna use an egg wash which I made
with 1 egg and 1 tablespoon of water, and we’re gonna take a mini basting brush
and brush the edges of the bottom piece, all the way around. Using the rest of your footballs, place them
on top of the filling and gently press down around the edges. I’m using a fork
to add a little extra detail and the ridges will help hold it together while baking. Also using a knife to add a little extra lace
detail on top of the football. Before we bake we’re gonna brush a little
bit more egg wash on top of each football. It’s time to bake! You’re gonna heat your
oven to 400 degrees and bake for 18 minutes. Ta-da! Our little football pizza pockets are out
of the oven and I put them on my serving plate, heated up a little bit of marinara
sauce in the bowl in the middle. And now they’re ready to snack on! Little taste test for me… Yum, yum, yum,
yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, oh my gosh! These are so good! Owwhaammm yum, yum, yum, yum, yum! They’re
good! Onto our next treat. For dessert, we’re gonna be making these
yummy Football Ice Cream Sandwiches. They’re so easy to make, the things you’ll
need, will be: a box of ice cream sandwiches, which you can find in the frozen
aisle at your grocery store, some white buttercream frosting which I’ve put into
a plastic bag with a number 5 tip a the end, wooden taster spoons, and a black pen. The 1st step is decorating the wooden spoons
by drawing football plays at the end. Using X’s and O’s, make as many as you’d
like. Nowwwwww, open your ice cream sandwiches and slowly press the wooden taste sticks into the bottom, in the middle of the ice cream sandwich. Then take your icing bag with a number 5 tip
at the end and draw laces right down the middle of the ice cream sandwich to look
like a little football. You can do this to as many ice cream sandwiches
as you want. Ta-da! Here they are and they’re ready to
serve! This idea is so simple and so easy to make,
I love it! Just make sure to serve ‘em fast so they
don’t melt! For our final treat, we’re gonna makes something
to drink, Touchdown Root Beer Floats! The things you will need, will be: Some big
mason jars, vanilla ice cream, root beer, an ice cream scoop, some fun green and white
striped straws, green card stock paper, white card stock paper, a ruler, a glue stick,
a small circle hole punch, twine, and some white tape. The 1st thing that we’re gonna do is decorate
our mason jars to look like little footballs, so take your white
tape, cut strips about 4-1/2 inches long to run the length of your mason jar, then
you’re gonna cut 4 smaller pieces of tape about an inch and 1/2 long and spread them
out evenly to look like little football laces. There we go, they look just like little footballs,
do this to the rest of your mason jars and next we’re gonna make
some drink labels. I decided to make the drink labels look like
little flags, so you’re gonna need 2 triangles, a green one, which will be larger,
and a white one. So 1st cut out your green triangle and then
cut out a smaller white triangle. Then you’re gonna take your gluestick and
stick ‘em together, just stick it on dere! Let them sit for about 5 minutes to set, then
you’re gonna take your hole punch, and your twine, punch a hole in the corner
of your flag, and then string through the twine! Using a sharpie, label
these whatever you would like, you can even use your favorite players number, and
tie them around the top of the jar. Now it’s time for the good stuff! Scoop
as much ice cream as you would like into the bottom of the jar, I’m using 2 scoops, then
we’re gonna open a bottle of our root beer, owhwaw jeez! I’m gonna need an
oven mitt for this one… There we go! Now slowly pour the root beer over the ice
cream, being careful not to let it overflow. And the last step is you’re gonna
take one of your green straws and stick it in ‘dere! And there you have it, all done, mmmmmm! Root
beer floats are delish, om nom nom nom nom! Ta-da! Here are all the Football DIY Treats
that we made today, we have our yummy Football Pizza Pockets, for dessert our Football
Ice Cream Sandwiches, and our Touchdown Root Beer Floats. Also behind me I drew my favorite play from

  5. the ice cream sandwiches would have been cuter if she used the football cookie cutter to make the shape a football. but it's still really cute

  6. The floats were made wrong. Notice how she had about 6 inches of foam and about 2 inches of root beer? The root beer, even chilled, is warmer than the ice cream. What happens when you pour a warm soda onto ice? It fizzes up, melts the ice, and you have a sad and pathetic flat soda. Think of it this way: It's called a "FLOAT", right? Try this method:
    Get a 16oz glass beer mug (or a big mason jar of course), get it wet under the faucet, and put it in the freezer for at least 2 hours. Make sure your root beer is ICE cold, and fill your mug about halfway (more or less, depending on how "soupy" you like your float). Then, carefully lower 2-3 scoops of ice cream into the root beer. Take care to not splash it in, or create too much foam. You want as much carbonation as possible so you get those magical fizzy bites of ice cream! There you have it, the perfect float. Mix it up with vanilla ice cream/orange soda, or rainbow sherbet/Sprite!

  7. There is alcoholic rootbeer. That should make for an interesting rootbeer float. Lol. Also try with chocolate ice cream. That is good too.
