  1. @TheLearningvideo Get more strength as after when take the jacket off you will feel lighter. Your leg will be stronger to cope with more weight then normal. Also you will mentally feel stronger by using it as you may have more confidence and believe in your self after training with it. Lee

  2. @TheLearningvideo I am happier to use weight jacket as the weight on your ankle can put pressure on your knee. My self used both but I am 10 times happier with weight jacket then the ankle weight. Lee

  3. @coachingbadminton If you dont mind can you please let me know what is the weight of the jacket that your players are using and my age is 28 and weight 63 (what should be the ideal weight of the jacket for me). I would be thankful to you for the information. Suresh

  4. @TheLearningvideo They are using about 4kg jacket. It has all about 9kg but some weight can be removed and added. If you have not used it before try with 2-3kg first then add more. Lee

  5. Hello Lee, I see this is very good training.. Let say I will do this twice a week!! What about the competition on sundays??? It is good for training and what a relief if you put off the jacket!! Float like butterfly and you are strong and quick…In order to feel this feeling again for competition or tournament you should do this a couple of minutes as well, but isn't it important to be prepared well for those important matches…Then you have to rely on your normal footwork without butterflyin

  6. Using it just before the competition would not ideal I think. It would be better to use it before and make your movement strong and right. I think you do same things nas you normally do before the match and make your focus on how to play the match, mentally planning for the match. Make your determination to win solid will be more beneficial in my view. Lee

  7. Okay Lee, thank you for your comment! I saw that Nathan Robertson is promoting heavier strength rackets as well… Strength pro i guess is the name of the brand! Is this a good idea as well to train your smash,drives and racket-swing speed?? Imagine if you train with a heavier racket for 10 minutes and after that you switch to your 'match' racket..( i think the racket weighs 140 or 160 grams, while the normal rackets are 80 to 90 grams…) Greets Lars

Coach Lee I have been watching your technique videos for a while and my badminton has improved greatly so I am now hoping your fitness videos will take me to a whole new level 🙂 but I would just like to know where can you buy these weighted jackets from as I currently have ankle weights but feel they strain my joints too much so I do not use them.

  12. Yes I do agree with you. Using the ankle weight your knee may suffer.
    Weight jacket would be safer. You have to look for internet and you will be able to find a few different ones. Lee

  14. Good to see such training but for advance player those who are playing for state level & age is around 15 years
