How to film a paraglider at night – Flying Lights [The Making-Of]

Way to go, dude… The guy doesn’t even know
how to run! Welcome to the film
set for Petzl, we’re making a video
using balloons and plan to have a little fun! We just did a shoot
with Louis Garnier. Light is right! Photography gear today is… Light! Light! Light! The idea was to take
a nighttime photo on Lake Pontet. It was rather tricky with
having to fly at night… By lighting up the mountains! We’re using big bright
lamps, plus smaller less
powerful lamps, as well as even
dimmer balloons. Test flight… So the plan was for me
to skim the water in flight. Louis had placed a
bunch of flashes everywhere. But it wasn’t easy since
we had so few test runs. Only two tries
to get the photo. So very complex, with a lot
of remote flashes and little visibility. Quite the adventure!
