How To Play The Front Foot Off Drive Tutorial With Tips for Good Technique

Hi Guys Jemile of the cricket school here in this tutorial what we are going to cover is the off drive the off drive is a front foot shot played to an over pitched ball on your off stump or just outside – it’s a vertical bat shot where you hit the ball in between the stumps and the extra cover fielder on the off side if you hit anything to the right of the extra cover fielder it becomes a cover drive if you hit anything to the left of the bowlers stumps as you look at them it becomes a on drive This is an OFF DRIVE The main thing you need to do is too move your head in to a position where it’s just on the left hand side of the ball if your a right hand, now you need to flip this if your a left hander – in that you will get your head into a position where it will be just on the right hand side if the ball Then as a result of that good head movement your foot will move Automatically, subconciousley your foot will move your brain will tell your foot move because otherwise i’m going to fall over So you don’t need to worry about moving your foot played properly the off drive is a very safe agressive batting shot because your bat is coming down at a vertical very close angle to your body and it means you have a much greater chance of hitting the ball and getting it out of the middle for runs
