with me and my boys here, runningback from Maryland we got a big game this
weekend against Dartmouth. Enjoy episode 7 of Harvard Football. Harvard’s victory over
Oregon in the 1920 Rose Bowl is a huge part of Harvard football history.
Harvard’s been playing division one football longer than just about anyone
in the country and it’s a huge part of our history and tradition. Well with the
Rose Bowl anniversary of the to 1920 Rose Bowl, 100th anniversary this year, my
wife and I will actually end up going out to Pasadena to represent Harvard at
the Rose Bowl and the Rose Bowl parade. Every time I see that Rose Bowl banner
flying above Harvard Stadium I think to myself what it must have been like in
the early part of the 20th century to take a train ride across the country and
play a national powerhouse on the west coast and win that game. Just a great
accomplishment and must have been an amazing, amazing experience for everybody
involved. I think one of the really cool things about this hundred year
celebration is seeing Eddie Casey, former Harvard halfback, inducted into the Rose
Bowl Hall of Fame. Eddie was a local guy from Natick, Massachusetts an outstanding
player and went on to coach at Harvard in the NFL. So, a great thing for our
program, but a really special thing for his familly. [Interviewer] What’s up Jack how’s it going? Hey what’s
