Returning Forwards Hope To Power BSU Men’s Hockey

WE WILL HAVE THOSE HE LIGHTS F>>>A NEW SEASON BEGINS THIS WEEKEND FOR THE BEMIDJI STATE MENS HOCKEY TEAM, AND IT STARTS WITH A BANG WITH SEVENTH RANKED ST. CLOUD STATE VISITING THE SANFORD CENTER. THERE ARE A LOT OF EXPECTATIONS FOR TOM SERRATORE AND THE BOYS THIS YEAR AS THEY BRING BACK AN EXPERIENCED GROUP.>>AS THE BEAVERS GET READY FOR THE UP COMING SEASON, IT IS A ROLE REVERSAL FROM THE TEAM THAT TOOK THE ICE LAST YEAR. A FORWARD GROUP THAT THE HEAD COACH CALLED THE YOUNGEST IN THE COUNTRY IS NOW EXPECTED TO LEAD THE TEAM.>>THEY ARE LOOKING GOOD RIGHT NOW. THEY ARE REALLY LOOKING GOOD. THEY’RE STRONGER, AS THEY SHOULD BE A YEAR LATER. THEY ARE A YEAR STRONGER, A YEAR WISER, AND, YOU KNOW, THEY ARE A YEAR MORE MATURE.>>THE BEAVERS RETURN 78% OF ITS GOALS FROM LAST SEASON, WITH LAST YEAR’S UNDERCLASSMEN PRIMED TO TAKE A JUMP, IMPROVING AN OFFENSE THAT WAS NATIONALLY IN THE BOTTOM THIRD LAST YEAR >>IT IS A REALLY EXCITING GROUP TO BE A PART OF, JUST KIND OF EVERYBODY BEING ON THE SAME PAGE NOW. EVERYBODY KIND OF KNOWS LIKE WHAT COLLEGE HOCKEY IS ABOUT, WHAT WE EXPECT, AND WE’RE GOING TO DELIVER.>>THE QUESTIONS THIS YEAR ARE NOW ON THE BLUE LINE. GONE ARE JUSTIN, DYLAN AND DAN, WITH REINFORCEMENTS COMING IN THE FORM OF FOUR FRESHMAN DEFENSEMEN WHO THANKS TO THEIR EXPERIENCE IN THE USHL HAVE IMPRESSED SO FAR IN CAMP.>>SKILL AND SIZE, WHAT I HAVE SEEN SO FAR, YOU KNOW, I LIKE THEM. YOU KNOW, THEY WORK HARD. YOU KNOW, THEY ARE REALLY GOOD PLAYERS TOO. I THINK THEY ARE GOING TO BENEFIT AND HELP OUR TEAM WIN.>>NOT GOING TO SAY THEY LOOK LIKE SEASONED VETERANS RIGHT NOW, BUT, YOU KNOW, FOR A YOUNG GROUP, THOSE GUYS ARE FURTHER AHEAD THAN MOST OF MY YOUNG I HAVE IN THE PAST.>>THEY RETURN BOTH OF THEIR GOALIES FROM LAST YEAR ZACK AND HANK. THOUGH A STARTER HASN’T BEEN NAMED FOR THE OPENER AGAINST ST. CLOUD STATE, BUT THE BEAVERS ARE EXCITED FOR THE IN-STATE RIVALRY.>>ANY TIME YOU PLAY MINNESOTA SCHOOL, BIG CROWD, GREAT ATMOSPHERE, A LOT OF PEOPLE. A LOT OF FUN ESPECIALLY TO KICK OFF THE SEASON. LOOKING FORWARD TO IT.>>THE BEAVERS WILL BE RENEWING THEIR 71-YEAR-OLD RIVALRY WITH THE HUSKIES. THE BEAVERS LEAD THE ALL-TIME
