“Hello and welcome to ESPNCricinfo Dailies,
I am Nikhil Naz. Our top stories from the world of cricket today are MSK Prasad states that Rishabh Pant is very much part of India’s World Cup plans, Ambati Rayudu reported for suspect bowling action and PCB insists discussions are open for Australia to play in Pakistan. PANT VERY MUCH PART OF INDIA’S WC PLANS – MSK Prasad Has been rested for AUS ODIs – MSK Prasad Rishabh Pant is “very much” part of India’s World Cup plans and his absence from the ODI squad currently taking on Australia is because he has been rested, According to the chairman of selectors, MSK Prasad “He played three T20Is and four Test matches in Australia and that had an impact on his body. He needed complete rest for two weeks. Let me put it straight, he is very much in our World Cup plans. He is a champion player in the making and even he is not fully aware the kind of potential he has.” Prasad said Pant needed rest after playing all the T20Is and Test matches against Australia. He believes the 21-year old is a champion player in the making and is very much in India’s World Cup plans. Rayudu reported for suspect Bowling action Incident happened during 1st ODI v AUS in Sydney. The 33 year old has only ever bowled in 9 of his 46 innings in ODIs but India turned to him after leaving out Kedar Jadhav. The part-time offspinner now has to get his action tested within 14 days, but can continue bowling in international cricket until the results are known. The ICC allows bowlers to flex their elbows only up to 15 degrees. If, on testing, Rayudu’s is shown to flex beyond that, he will be suspended from bowling in international cricket until he can get his action rectified. The Pakistan Cricket Board insists discussions with Cricket Australia are “open and ongoing” for Australia to play in Pakistan later this year. “We want to see international cricket return to Pakistan – the country has a huge passion for it. However, the safety of our players and support staff is our number one priority and we won’t compromise that. We’ll continue to take advice from a range of government agencies and our own security intelligence and act on this accordingly. The PCB wants CA to visit Pakistan for a security check before deciding on whether Australia will play there. However, a CA spokesperson has said that the safety of players and staff won’t be compromised and that they’ll take advice from a range of government agencies and their own security intelligence on the matter. The two sides are scheduled to play five ODIs, beginning in late March, predominantly in the UAE. But as part of its efforts to bring international cricket back to the country, the PCB has been keen for Australia to play a couple of the games in Pakistan. That’s all from me. 1. Think before commenting on those who are representing their country with there skills because you are not even closer to their position to comment. They are in a position where they had given everything.Rayudu is a great batsman he had failed very rare he had not given enough opportunities in the past.If you want rishab in the place of rayudu then you are senseless fellow.Because rayudus records are far better than his.

  2. I remember hearing about Raydu as the next great batsmen, when he was playing under 19. Too bad he could not prove himself in international cricket.

  3. This is bizarre to say that Pant was rested as he is tired playing Test n T20. Then his fitness must be in question. I think MSK prasad just thinks that all are foolish except him. He pushed out Dhoni for 6 matches and now he is bring him back. They said Dhoni wants other to play. Now Dhoni needs practice. No they say Pant is part of World Cup plan. I believe there is a big problem internally in selection committee itself.

  4. Dhoni was very instrumental in past. But now it’s a time to use him as a coach rather player as he can’t deliver as a batsman. Now a days there is no spot for specialized keeper who can just keep the wickets at least in limited over games

  5. Okay so first you say that Dhoni won’t play in two T20I series, Pant will play. Next, you say Dhoni will come back cause he needs match time, and now you say Pant is in the plans for the CWC. Just tell people the real answer. Who are the wicket keepers?

  6. Give time for Pant to mature before sending him to the biggest stage. He is a good wicket keeper batsman and will continue to improve, but India should keep Dhoni for 2019.
