Shikhar Dhawan To Miss Two World Cup Matches

During the India vs Australia match Shikhar Dhawan was hit by a ball due to which he fractured his thumb. Even though he was in a lot of pain he continued playing and scored 117 runs before he got out. Even though he was in a lot of pain he continued playing. After scoring 117 runs, he got out. He was in a lot of pain. When it was Australia’s turn to bat, Shikhar Dhawan did not bowl or field. He sat and watched the match with an ice pack on his thumb. Once the match was over, he was taken to a hospital in Leeds, London. He underwent a few scans and a check up to see what had really happened. He was in a lot of pain. The BCCI said that he will not participate in the match against New Zealand and Pakistan due to his injury. The BCCI said that once he gets better then he can be part of the team again. If he does not recover from the pain and it remains the same, he will have to go back to India and another player will replace him. If he goes back to India and recovers, he will not be able to switch back again. This is a rule by the ICC. This is why the BCCI has asked him stay and are hoping he recovers soon. If he has to be replaced, he may be replaced by Rishabh Pant. Everyone is very worried as Shikhar is an excellent batsman. Shikhar and Rohit Sharma have a great partnership. They rank fourth in the world. They have played 103 matches together and have an excellent partnership. Till now they have scored a total of 4500 runs as a result of their partnership.
