Virat Kohli and the Indian Cricket Team have landed in London for the World Cup which will start from 30th May 2019. The opening match will be between England & South Africa. 10 teams from all over the world will take part in the tournament which runs from 30th May 2019 to 14th July. The ten teams will play 45 matches in the group stages leading to the Semi-Finals and then the Finals. The Semi-finals and the Final will be held at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. Each team will play 9 matches with every team playing each other once. India will be playing two practice matches before the tournament between New Zealand on 25th May and Bangladesh on 28th May. India’s first game will be against South Africa on 5th June 2019 in Southampton, England. It will be very exciting to watch India play. India won the first World Cup in 1983 in England and then won for the second time in 2011 in India. The winners of the World Cup will receive a prize of Rs 27 Crore. Virat Kohli spoke with the media hours before leaving. He said that, the team cannot be complacent. They need to start practising from the time they land. As India will have to play four games in a short period of time. They need to start practising. Many of India’s players were busy with the IPL. They have now started practising for ICC World Cup.
