  1. I am so proud of the history of my country. However, in modern tines I see a divided and fractured countnry brought to its knees by this terribly divisive Tory government. Record homeless, record inequality and a press completely biased. We need a Socialist government that puts people first. When will my fellow Brits wake up and gave the faith to deliver one. Socialism gave us a weekend off, workers rights, pensions and an NHS. We need Socialism back before these Tory liars take it all away so that just the priveleged few can get super rich whilst the poorest suffer. Make me proud once again Britain.

  2. Such a good opening ceremony! As @colin urquhart said the Industrial Revolution bit is insanely well done! <3

  3. God, I wish you could turn the commentary off. Love Barry Davies, but it's like an old, drunk man rambling in the corner of the room all the way through.

  4. I get tears in my eyes for two reasons watching this. Because how great and United the whole country felt during and after the games. But 7 years later my country is now in a divided mess with an uncertain future. I want to love my country but the mess we are in makes it painful to be proud anymore.

  5. Little did we realise that 7 years later, we'd be a hate filled, divided nation. The Tories have a lot to answer for. Doubt Britain will be the same again. We celebrated diversity, creativity and our wonderful humour.

  6. Inside Times WORLD!!!!!🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍olympic!!!!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

  7. This was one of my personal favourites. England managed it so well, showing our culture perfectly. I watch every now and then to feel good. Never seen a better opening ceremony since.

  8. Una Oda a la excelsa y riquísima Música Británica,……. The Beatles,… Rolling Stones, Quenn, Frankie Goes to H,. New Order,….. etc, etc, etc,……. la mejor Inauguración junto a Rio 2016 y Pekin 2008, sin duda.

  9. 1:12:53 – The reason is that I review this part 10 times every month … Cherry on the cake, so to speak …

  10. I remember watching this back in 2012 and feeling an immense sense of pride in my nation. God knows I've not felt that in a while now. But this ceremony reminds us of the UK's long and proud past, and that whatever's happening today is just a tiny blip in history.

  11. Incidentally, I think the key to the success of this ceremony is that they got the camera right in close for some moments. It's all very well having a massive awe-inspiring spectacle, but the viewers at home won't connect with that the way they'll connect to a close up of a kid reading under a blanket or a couple kissing for the first time.

  12. The doom mongers said the UK couldn't do this and would fail! But the British people proved them wrong as we always do.

  13. Every time that profane woman in the commercial that precedes the video comes one I shut it OFF: the woman that says "OMG"…please, get RID of her.

  14. Industrial revolution section of London games is the best performance of any Olympics games so far…..what a beautiful performance…

  15. I can't believe I've been awake watching this again… It's now almost 3 am… and now I feel like I'm 17 again :')

  16. So, basicly they're telling the story of how industrialization ensalved men even farther, and destroyed nature… and they feel proud of it!

  17. Im British and proud and know how the working class suffer due to the tories. IF it wasnt for Labour or a Liberal way of thinking we wouldnt have the NHS or the Widows pension.
